Sound Off! (Let me hear you nice and loud)

Having had a conversation with my Mom and Sis- we were talking about what 'draws' someone to return to a blog ([LOL] or a journal) and our ideas differed: so-

While today's entry, this one any way- isn't about 'me' per say, I wondered what draws you back to a blog or journal?

Is it content and subject alone? Or even if you like or are interested in the information that's shared, does the over-all look of the page or colors pretty much turn you away regardless?

I've had a few add-ons included in my journal from time-to-time. I've had music selections to choose, polls, etc... What about those? The more the merrier? Or the more the melancholy?

I am interested. Thanks (in advance) for your input. I guess what I want is while I'm sharing my journal online- I want people to be 'comfortable' at my blog while reading, sharing, laughing or even crying. That my page isn't keeping some from enjoying the visit.

Remember: you don't have to be a member or have a username to comment. You also have the choice of remaining anonymous or including your name. (gosh- how nice!)

Luv & Prayers,
Joy

  3. Joy, isn't Ronda your sister? LOL! But to answer your question...I am only following 2 blogs right now, yours and Lisa Copen's. I read these because I know and admire the writers and feel we are friends. That would not actually be quite enough so the rest of the story is I am interested and inspired by what the 2 of you write. I enjoy your humor, Joy as well as your courage and dedication to following God. Your inspire me! Sheryl

  5. As your mom, I have seen great changes in your life... growth... ..happiness..sadness...and an illness that has affected every aspect of your life...I am proud of your fight...I am proud that you care enough to share your journey...you are very blessed with the capability to express your feelings and share your life...I am sure that it inspires and gives insight to others, no matter there situation...you add facts, humor, and offer very diverse information and opportunities to grow in your journal...these entries may offer laughter...a tear...a prayer...a challenge... but most of all they offer hope...I will always be on this journey with you...lm

  6. To my little wifey,

Going through hard times, which a lot of Christians are going through, your stories inspire determination, faith and a real God and in standing firmly on the Word of God.

Through your blogs many times its been a battle but sheer determination and believing in the Word of God (Bible says all things are possible to him that believe). Satan attacks us through pain and attacks us through our minds so that we not only have to tune out the pain and the attacks, but focus only on God and his promises that by His stripes we are healed.

Many Christians are going through the same thing and by you using your journal- you are causing them to hang on and not give up and believe what the bible says is true. My prayers and love for God and for you have come together believing you will be well to do what God wants you to do. This is only a first step- a beginning.

So please do keep writing the good and the bad and remember the devil is a liar and it is in Gods wisdom knowing that in one day you will have complete victory in him.

May God richly bless you. Leave the blog untouched. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

    Your little bitty hubby,
    xoxoxo in Christ xoxoxoxo

  7. Wow!! So this is where you're all hiding. In the comment section of Joy's blog.

As your Sis, I can best tell how you're doing by reading this blog. I'm not talking about physically, I mean emotionally.

There are a lot of professionals looking out for your physical well-being, but you need people who love you to support your emotional health too.

To talk to you late at night, to make you laugh, to listen and to support you. To be a sister and a friend.

This is why I read your blog.

Plus, some day I hope I get free stuff here...
